College/Professional Events:
March Madness - March 2 - March 25, 2007
Final Four - March 31st, 2007
High School Events:
Track and field Meet (ABC vs. John F. Kennedy HS) - Friday, March 23, 2007
Swim meet (ABC HS vs. Reseda HS) - Monday, March 26, 2007 at 2pm at ABC pool
Soccer match (ABC HS vs. Chatsworth HS) - March 27 at 4pm (ABC soccer field)
& March 29 at 4pm (CHS soccer field)
Don't forget, we are going to attend the track
and field meet located at our track on campus on Friday, March 22. We will be attending the
track and field meet between JFK HS and ABC HS. We will meet at our gymnasium at 2pm.
At 2:10pm, we will then walk over to the track to our assigned bleacher seats. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and
a snack if you need one. Let's get ready to cheer on our track and field team as they take on the cougars!
You will write a one page reflection on your experience at the track and field meet.
Think about these questions. . . You may choose to write about them in your reflection. Did you find the meet exciting?
Boring? Did you enjoy a particular race or field event more than any other? Do you enjoy running? If so, which
event would you like to participate in if you were on the team?

- If there are four athletes that run the 400 meter relay, how many meters does each athlete run?
- How many yards is 400 meters? Convert meters into yards. . .
- When the race starter, fires the gun, what do you notice first? Do you hear the sound of the gun first?
